Collection Story

Mashru silk is a beautifully woven fabric which is a blend of sumptuous silk on the outside and breathable cotton inside. Mashru silk, often called the master of satin, comes from West Asia and is used throughout India but is especially loved in the Gujarat province. This popular fabric dates to 19th century India where artisans work in total harmony with their environment – the sun, rivers, animals, trees, and mud all part of its making. After being washed in cold water, the textile is rigorously pounded with a wooden hammer while it is wet. This traditional crafting process is still in use today and creates a comfortable, yet elegant fabric used in a variety of products such as scarves and blankets. Our Mesmerising Mashru collection is hand-embroidered and charming, with a subtle elegant shine. It comes in a range of lovely pillowcases with different patterns and patchwork quilts available in a rainbow of bright colors. You will find a range of great, sustainable products that will add a personal and authentic touch to your interior design and brighten up your home!
